Terms & Conditions
General
These Terms & Conditions apply to all products, services, quotations, and projects supplied by Metal Fit (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Quotes & Pricing

All quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

Prices are in NZD and exclude GST unless specified.

Quotes for custom-fabricated items are based on the specifications provided at the time of quoting. Any changes may result in price adjustments.
Orders & Payment

A deposit or full payment may be required before production or ordering of materials commences.
-
Custom and made-to-order products cannot be cancelled or refunded once fabrication has begun.
-
Final payment must be made prior to dispatch unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Lead Times
-
Lead times are estimates only and may vary due to material availability, production schedules, or external factors.

Metal Fit is not liable for delays outside of our reasonable control.
Design Approval & Custom Work

All custom designs, CAD drawings, and layouts must be approved by the customer prior to fabrication.

Once approved, Metal Fit is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information or changes requested after approval.

Minor design variations may occur due to fabrication tolerances or material characteristics.
Shipping & Delivery
-
Shipping costs and methods are outlined separately in our Shipping Policy.

Risk passes to the customer upon dispatch or delivery, unless otherwise agreed.

The customer is responsible for ensuring suitable site access and unloading capability.
Installation
-
Where Metal Fit provides installation, the customer must ensure the site is safe, accessible, and fit for installation.

Any delays or additional work caused by site conditions may incur extra charges.

Metal Fit is not responsible for structural integrity of existing buildings unless specifically contracted to assess it.
Returns & Refunds

Custom-made and fabricated products are non-returnable.

Standard products may be eligible for return only with prior written approval and may be subject to restocking fees.

Returned items must be unused and in original condition.
Warranty

Metal Fit products are covered by a 12-month workmanship warranty unless otherwise stated.

This warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear
-
Misuse, neglect, or improper installation

Modifications made by third parties
-
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing with supporting evidence.
Liability

Metal Fit is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

Our total liability is limited to the value of the goods or services supplied.

Customers are responsible for ensuring equipment is used in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
Intellectual Property

All designs, drawings, concepts, and documentation produced by Metal Fit remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

These may not be reproduced, shared, or used without prior consent.
Cancellations
-
Orders cancelled prior to fabrication may be subject to material and administrative costs.

Orders cancelled after fabrication has commenced are non-refundable.
Governing Law
-
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
Amendments
-
Metal Fit reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
