The University of Auckland Recreation Centre required a high-capacity storage solution capable of handling constant turnover of functional training equipment while maintaining a clean, professional training environment.

 

Metal Fit delivered a custom-built functional storage system designed for durability, efficient load distribution, and seamless integration into the facility layout.

 

The system keeps equipment organised, accessible, and off the floor, improving traffic flow, reducing clutter, and supporting the demands of a high-volume commercial gym.

A fully custom-designed Sky Rig built specifically for the University Recreation Centre, maximising training capability while preserving valuable floor space.


This overhead-mounted system delivers a unique, modular training solution that supports a wide range of interchangeable attachments, making it ideal for routine classes, functional training, and group sessions.

Designed to adapt to multiple training styles and class formats, the Sky Rig allows the space to evolve without reconfiguring the floor, delivering flexibility, efficiency, and a clean, professional finish tailored to the facility’s needs.

Swish Factory, Albany

A custom-fabricated bleacher seating system designed to maximise usable space while providing durable, practical seating for group training, events, and classes.


Built for high-use environments, the design delivers a clean, compact footprint with robust construction, making it ideal for multipurpose fitness and recreation spaces.

The Ceremony Studio required a high-capacity pull-up solution that could support group training without compromising floor space or aesthetics.

 

Metal Fit designed and installed a custom, load-rated overhead pull-up bar system engineered to integrate cleanly within the studio’s existing structure.

 

The result is a durable, space-efficient training solution that allows multiple athletes to train simultaneously while maintaining clear sightlines and an uncluttered floor, built to perform under constant commercial use.

This storage system was engineered specifically around the Les Mills SMART PLATE™ format to ensure precise fit, correct spacing, and efficient handling during high-rotation group training.

 

Metal Fit designed the system to support fast plate changes, reduce handling time between classes, and keep branded equipment organised and protected.

 

Purpose-built geometry and load-rated construction ensure the system integrates seamlessly with Les Mills programming while maintaining a clean, professional studio environment.
